Information Checklist

Bringing all the needed information and documents to your first meeting with John Hahn will help ensure that your application moves ahead quickly. Be sure to bring what’s required in the section below, plus the specific additional information required for what you are doing – a home purchase or refinancing.

Personal Identification

Two pieces of identification, one with a picture (Health Cards are not accepted)

Income Confirmation

If you are a salaried/hourly employee, bring the original of one of the following
  • Employment letter from your employer on company letterhead and dated within 60 days of the application, which includes your name, the date you started at the company, your annual income and the contact information of the person siging the letter OR
  • A pay stub dated within 60 days of the application OR
  • Your last two (2) months’ bank account statements showing the direct deposit of your income.

    If you are self-employed, on contract, have fluctuating income, and/or are a salaried/hourly employee but wish to include bonuses, overtime, commissions, gratuities or profit-sharing, bring your last two (2) years’ income tax Notice of Assessments(NOA) from the Canada Revenue Agency.

    Property Information

    Squre footage and age of home, and the lot size
    Actual or estimated condominium fees, if applicable
    Actual or estimated property taxes and heating costs

    Financial Information About Your Assets and Liabilities

    Information about your assets or savings, as well as your debts including the financial institutions, credit limits, amounts outstanding and monthly payments. This helps me help you determine the mortgage amount available based on your financial situation.

    Your Lawyer’s Information

    Your lawyer’s/notary’s contact information, if applicable. When refinancing, you can take advantage of TD Canada Trust’s in-house Registration Program in most circumstances.
